Description

GO TRI Local is for people that are brand new to swim, bike and run and looking to take their first steps in a safe and enjoyable environment. Bloxwich Active Living Centre is organising GO TRI events, the last Sunday of each month in 2023.

The events are ideal for complete beginners and all with an affordable £5 entry fee. If participants can arrive for 9:45am for an event briefing. The GO TRI will involve a 10 minute swim in our indoor 25m pool, a 20 minute cycle in the spin studio, and a 1 mile run around the park at the rear of the centre. The run will be a mixture of paths and grass.

Participants must be aged 16 on 31st December 2023. Spaces are limited.

This recreational opportunity is aimed at beginners who would like to try swim, bike and run together. The opportunity is untimed and non-competitive, it’s all about doing your best and giving it a go. The distances that are promoted are maximum distances and you can do as little or as much as you want.

What you'll need

General kit list:

• Trainers
• Shorts/Leggings
• T-Shirt or top
• Water bottle
• Towel

Swimming:

• 1 or 2 piece costume for ladies
• Trunks or shorts for men
• A wetsuit if your swim is open water
• Don't forget your goggles!

Biking:

• Bike* (any bike will do)
• Helmet
• * If this GO TRI activity uses spin bikes, you don't need to bring your own bike *

Running:

• All you need is a pair of trainers
